So。。。I definitely liked this book。 Honestly， it has not been my favorite out of ALL the Red Queen books， but I can for sure see why the author chose the title。 The war scenes are not as good as Red Queen and Glass Swords'。 The romance level， however， is set to a very high level。 There is physical romance in this book， and the romance can kind of be inappropriate。 （Though I read this at age 11） So if you have a really young person who is unaware of that kind of thing you might want to skip this r So。。。I definitely liked this book。 Honestly， it has not been my favorite out of ALL the Red Queen books， but I can for sure see why the author chose the title。 The war scenes are not as good as Red Queen and Glass Swords'。 The romance level， however， is set to a very high level。 There is physical romance in this book， and the romance can kind of be inappropriate。 （Though I read this at age 11） So if you have a really young person who is unaware of that kind of thing you might want to skip this read。 I really liked how the main portion of the story is set in Whitefire Palace。 It really adds character to Mare's personality， and some of us can relate to feeling trapped and alone。 As for foul language， there is the f word and the b word， but other thank that there is no serious words。 For fans of this series， I would recommend A Curse So Dark and Lonely series and The Inheritance Games series。 Overall， this book got four stars because of the lack of definition in the battle scenes。 Otherwise， a great read！ 。。。more

The whole book was pretty boring apart from when Mare met the other electricons and Evangeline’s perspective。 I’d much rather read about Evangeline and Elaine’s relationship than Mare and Cal’s。 When they were breaking up or whatever， I wasn’t a bit upset。 Honestly I’m pretty happy with it。 I feel like there was so little showing how their relationship actually developed and it seems so plain。
